Psalm 1 — “Planted by the Waters”
“But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.”
— Psalm 1:2 (KJV)

πΏ Devotional Reflection
Psalm 1 opens the Book of Psalms with a picture of two paths — the righteous and the wicked. The one who delights in God’s Word is rooted, fruitful, and secure through every season. In Christ Jesus, the Living Word, we are planted by living waters that never run dry. Today, choose to linger in His Word until your soul finds its delight in Him alone.
π Reflection Questions
- What does it mean for me to be “planted by the waters” in my daily life?
- How can I meditate on God’s Word day and night this week?
- Where do I see the fruit of God’s Word growing in me today?
π Closing Prayer
Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, thank You for Your Word in Psalm 1. Plant me deeply in Your presence and let Your living water nourish my soul. May I delight in Your law and bear fruit that glorifies Your name. Keep me from ungodly counsel and anchor me in Your truth. In Jesus Almighty name, Amen.
