Psalm 10 — “Why Do You Hide?”
“Why standest thou afar off, O LORD? why hidest thou thyself in times of trouble?”
— Psalm 10:1 (KJV)
🎵 Sing Logos – Psalm 10 (Music Video)
A cry from the depths — when it feels like God is silent, His justice still sees, hears, and restores.\
🌿 Devotional Reflection
Psalm 10 begins with anguish — “Why, Lord, do You hide?” Yet by the end, faith rises again in the knowledge that God sees every injustice. This song captures the tension of waiting on divine justice while the wicked seem to prosper. Even when God feels distant, He remains the Judge who defends the oppressed and hears the cries of the brokenhearted. In seasons of silence, faith holds onto this truth: God’s justice never sleeps.
🔎 Reflection Questions
- When have you felt like God was silent — and how did you hold on to faith?
- What does it mean that God “sees it all” even when justice is delayed?
- How can you show compassion for those suffering injustice today?
🙏 Closing Prayer
Abba Father, in the name of Jesus, I thank You that even when You seem silent, You are still present. You see every tear and hear every cry. Strengthen my faith in times of waiting and help me to trust in Your righteous judgment. You are my refuge and the defender of the weak. In Jesus Almighty name, Amen.
