Why do You stand afar off, O Lord?  
Why hide in trouble’s day?  
The wicked in pride do persecute,  
They chase the poor away.

But You, O Lord, You see it all,  
The cries of the broken, the tears that fall.  
Though the wicked say, “God will not mind,”  
You are the Judge of all mankind.

They boast of their lust and their greedy desire,  
They curse and renounce the Lord.

They despise Your holy Word.

🌿 Devotional Reflection

Psalm 10 begins with anguish — “Why, Lord, do You hide?” Yet by the end, faith rises again in the knowledge that God sees every injustice. This song captures the tension of waiting on divine justice while the wicked seem to prosper. Even when God feels distant, He remains the Judge who defends the oppressed and hears the cries of the brokenhearted. In seasons of silence, faith holds onto this truth: God’s justice never sleeps.
