Psalm 11: In the Lord I Put My Trust

Verse 1  
In the Lord I put my trust,  
Why say to my soul, "Take flight"?  
Though the wicked bend their bow,  
God is my refuge, my light.  

Chorus  
The Lord is in His holy temple,  
The Lord’s throne is in heaven above.  
His eyes behold, His eyelids try,  
The children of men with perfect love.  

Verse 2  
The Lord tests the righteous ones,  
But the wicked He shall rain  
Fire and brimstone, stormy wind,  
This shall be their dreadful pain.

The Lord is in His holy temple,

Psalm 11 reminds us that trust in God is not shaken by fear or chaos. Even when the wicked seem to prevail and the very foundations of society crumble, God remains enthroned in heaven. His eyes see all, and His justice never fails. To “put our trust in the Lord” is to rest in the assurance that He is righteous, watching over His people with perfect love. We need not flee or fear — our refuge is unshakable.
